The Constitution lays down the powers and responsibilities of a number
of bodies and individuals. The Council can delegate any of its powers except the determination of the educational character and mission, ensuring the solvency of the University, the approval of the annual estimates of income and expenditure, the appointment or dismissal of the Vice-Chancellor & Rector and the varying or revoking of the Articles of Government. |

Liverpool Hope is a company limited by guarantee. The Company was established
on 29th November 1996 and operates under a Memorandum & Articles of
Association and Articles of Government (Constitution) approved by Privy
Council.
