The Rectorate Team comprises the University's Senior Management Team, namely Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research & Academic Development), Pro Vice-Chancellor (Resource Management & Planning), Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Support & Well-being), Pro Vice-Chancellor (External Relations & Widening Participation) , Dean of Arts & Humanities, Dean of Education , Dean of Sciences & Social Sciences, University Secretary, in addition to the Vice-Chancellor & Rector. The Rectorate Team meets on a weekly basis. Office of the Vice-ChancellorProfessor Gerald Pillay is Vice-Chancellor & Rector of Liverpool Hope University. The Office of the Vice-Chancellor is managed by Pat Kemble. The Vice-Chancellor & Rector is also the Chief Academic and Administrative Officer of the University and, amongst many other things, is responsible to Council for the organisation, direction and management of the University and leadership of the staff. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Resource Management & Planning)Dr Ian Vandewalle - With overall responsibility for Planning , Estates, Catering, Finance, Marketing, Recruitment & External Relations. University SecretaryGraham Donelan - With overall responsibility for corporate governance , committee secretariat , health and safety , internal audit , Quality Assurance and Enhancement and regulatory and statutory compliance and liaison with the Trade Unions. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Support and Well-being)Bishop Ian Stuart - With overall responsibility for everything that directly influences student learning support and pastoral and persona; care of students, including the Student Administration Office, Careers, student health services and counselling, Chaplaincy, the Centre for Teaching and Learning, pastoral care in the Halls of Residence and Library Learning and Information Services. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Academic Development)Professor Kenneth Newport - with responsibility for academic development throughout the University, including leading planning and implementing strategies to improve scholarship, helping in recruiting high quality staff, developing key research clusters and providing leadership for Human Resources. Pro Vice-Chancellor (External Relations & Widening Participation) & Provost of The Cornerstone CampusProfessor Bill Chambers - responsible for external relations and partnerships in the City of Liverpool, the north west region, nationally and internationally. Also responsible for the Centre for Widening Participation (http://www.hope.ac.uk/cwp). Based at the Cornerstone Campus, home to the creative and perfroming arts, where he is Provost (http://www.hope.ac.uk/cornerstone). Professor Chambers is also responsible for the Faith Initiative which links the University to faith schools, colleges and dioceses.
