Owned and operated by Liverpool Hope University, Plas Caerdeon Outdoor Education Centre in North Wales is a busy residential outdoor centre, delivering courses throughout the year. For six months of the year, it is utilised exclusively by the University providing opportunities for all first year students, regardless of department, to engage with their tutors and bond with their fellow students. For the remaining six months, it is available for use by a range of external groups including schools, youth groups of all ages, university students and staff. The Centre is set in 18 acres of private, secluded woodlands within the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales overlooking the Mawddach Estuary - often described as one of the most beautiful areas in Britain.
We are now seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Head of Centre. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor education, supported by strong leadership capabilities and business skills.
The Head of Centre will be responsible for the development of an operational plan to support the efficient running of operations at Plas Caerdeon, strengthen the links with the University departments and attract new clients - thereby ensuring the Centre maintains its position as one of the leading outdoor education centres in the UK.
Initial interviews will be held at Plas Caerdeon, Barmouth.
