The School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering seeks a dynamic Lecturer in Computer Science with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

About the Role

As part of this post, you will contribute to the delivery of lectures and seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will also be involved in supervising student projects and dissertations in your areas of expertise. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the School's vibrant research environment, potentially collaborating with existing research groups in Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Internet-of-Things, and Robotics.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field with a clear focus on AI and, preferably, on NLP. Demonstrated expertise in core NLP techniques and deep learning approaches is essential, as is a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students at all levels. A strong interest in developing your research within a collaborative team and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also vital for success in this position.
