The Criminal Records Bureau is an executive agency of the Home Office, set up to provide a regulated ‘one-stop’ service for England and Wales, offering access to records held by the police together with those held by the Department for Education and Skills.
The Disclosure Service enables organisations to make more thorough recruitment checks for positions that involve regular contact with children and vulnerable adults.
No disclosures can be applied for or issued without the consent of an individual applicant.
Hope ask all staff, potential staff, students and potential students whose work or study involves regular contact with children and vulnerable adults. If you are not sure whether or not you require a disclosure in your role, please refer to your Line Manager in the first instance and in the second your Personnel Advisor. Costs for this service will be incurred by your Faculty/Service area.
Liverpool Hope will not discriminate unfairly against any subject of a Disclosure on the basis of a conviction or other information revealed. See our Policy on the Recruitment of Ex-offenders.
