What we do...

The Faculty Support Office is responsible for providing overall administrative support to the Faculty, its partners and students. The Faculty Office also plays a key role in the faciliatation of Research and Knowledge Exchange, controlling and updating student records, PGR Student Experience, Quality Enhancement and Assurance, developing faculty infrastructure (policy and procedures), Faculty Student Support and Faculty and Department committees.

The Faculty Office also manages student records, working alongside the University's central Student Administration body. Students should log on to their Information Portal to view/update their records. The portal also displays all provisional results as well as being the University's offical means of communication.

Unfortunately, the Faculty Office can not handle requests for references or visa enquiries. These should be directed to Student Administration in the Gateway Building.

The Faculty Support Office is located at both the Hope Park and Creative Campus. The office is open from 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Coursework submission

The Faculty Office welcomes coursework submission from our undergraduate students between 10am until 3pm, Monday to Friday.  If you have a question about your submission, one of our advisors shall be able to help. Simply email: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or telephone the relevant office.

Students can submit work with an individualised coversheet. To access the coversheet, simply should log on to the Student Information Portal  and select 'My Details (Academic)' and 'Coursework Submission Sheets'. Once coursework has been submitted, an electronic reciept shall be emailed directly to the student's account.

If you have a financial claim, this should - in the first instance - be directed to the relevant subject area administrator (see details below). Key Committees and Boards

The Faculty plays host to a number of Boards and Committee meetings.

Minutes of these meetings are placed on the common staff drive and are available, upon request, from the Dean's Office.

Departmental Assessment, Progression and Award Board. These boards, held throughout various points in the year, formally endorse all provisional results and provide the progression outcomes for students. These meetings are jointly serviced by a representative from Student Administration and from the Faculty Office. A record of the agreed outcomes is produced. For further details, please contact Student Administration directly.

Faculty Quality, Learning and Teaching Committee.  The Faculty QLT committee handles affairs in three key respects, looking at the Academic Quality Assurance mechanism, co-ordinating Learning and Teaching activities, including the annual Learning and Teaching Awards, as well as reporting to Faculty Board.

Faculty Board. Faculty Board is a committee of the University's Senate. The board is constituted to meet twice per term, although there may be additional meetings depending upon the operational needs of the Faculty.
