| Background: | BackgroundDr John Brinkman is the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Social Sciences at the University, a position that reflects his research interests and postgraduate qualifications in both the sciences and social sciences. His current research interests are in leadership and algebraic coxeter groups. The latter of these research interests achieving international recognition when applied to the UK National Lottery. He has presented his research findings at conferences at the Universities of Surrey, Cranfield, Manchester and Warwick in the UK and internationally in India, Romania, Italy, USA, Holland, Mexico and Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is an Honorary Member of the International Academy of Management and Business and has been the Chair of the Christ University (Bangalore, India) & Liverpool Hope University Institute for Business, Management & Leadership since 2006. Dr Brinkman also has a variety of industrial experience gained prior to joining Liverpool Hope University, having worked for ICI, British Steel, British Gas, Rover Group and Shell. |
