British Science Week (BSW) is an annual ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths ran by the British Science Association. During the celebration, our Faculty of Science will be holding a number of fascinating, entertaining and engaging events and activities for people of all ages.
Having fun while learning is a key theme at Hope’s British Science Week celebrations. Throughout the week, interactive workshops will teach pupils from schools and colleges about DNA mutations, nutrition, virtual reality and even radio telemetry, while talks and demonstrations cover bioscience, psychology, sport science and robotics.
Held in our Health Sciences building and beautiful University grounds, there will be a wide variety of events including lectures, demonstrations and workshops ranging from radio telemetry and bat detections to motion capture and DNA analysis.
There will be something for everyone, from a beginners’ introduction to different specialisms, to detailed explorations for college students considering a future in the field.
Check back soon for a full programme of events.
