Hope Business Gateway is continually striving to raise awareness within the business community of the high standard of Liverpool Hope students and graduates. The University recognises the importance of enterprise in education and has designed a range of interactive workshops, modules and competitions to promote this culture to our students, aiming to fully prepare them for life outside the academic arena.
The Business Gateway team, along with the Employer Liaison Officer in the Student Development and Wellbeing Department, work closely with businesses to help create and support paid internships of any length, which can range from one month to a more permanent basis.
The Employer Liaison Officer also gives ongoing support at all times throughout the process, meeting with the business to ensure they understand the requirements of the role and confirm it is at a graduate level. The business is then supported when matching a suitable graduate to the role including managing the opportunity, advertising the vacancy, CV collection, initial sift, and, if needed, involvement in the interview process.
The University’s Employer Liaison Officer works directly with businesses to help identify their particular needs and support them throughout the process, as well as liaising with the students. On-going support is also given before, during and after the placement.
Liverpool Hope also works with organisations and businesses to facilitate volunteer, temporary and permanent positions for students and graduates.
