"Love one another as I have loved you"

                  - Jesus Christ

The Chaplaincy Team at Liverpool Hope represent the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches. We try to be a living witness to the ecumenical ideals of Liverpool Hope, together we serve the whole university in Christ's name.

The cheapest tea and coffee!

If you have time inbetween lectures then pop into the chaplaincy, make a brew and have a chat. It's a great place to meet new people, join in with our lively debates, or to just have some time-out and read your book. All our tea and coffee is from Fairtrade producers, in line with the University's commitment to support trade justice.

The friendliest welcome

You will receive the warmest welcome on campus when you pop into the chaplaincy. We always like to hear about your day. We enjoy meeting new people and getting to know everyone in Liverpool Hope community. If you are wanting to get more involved in the community life on campus and meet new people the Chaplaincy Base is a brilliant place to start.

The best place to eat a packed lunch

Lots of students commute in to Liverpool Hope and often want to eat their packed lunch on campus or live on campus and like making their own  lunch. If that sounds like you, then we welcome you to come and use our little kitchen.

Also, on Mondays in term time we have a well loved £1 lunch at 12.30. Will you be tempted by our array of recession-busting morsels?

The best place to put the world to rights

You will often overhear philosophy being debated, with the problems of the world being sorted out over a cup of tea. If you know the cause or the cure of a major ill then come and tell us about it and see if you can win us over...

You do not need to be religious to come into the chaplaincy!

You might come to Liverpool Hope with an idea that Chaplaincy is not for you, especially if you not particularly religious, but this is your Chaplaincy and we are here to welcome you, whoever you are. Our faith is important to us, but we know the best way to testify to it is by showing respect and hospitality. We won't pry into your personal life, or judge you, even if you support Manchester United... We are here to offer all, visitors, staff, and students, a warm welcome.

Sometimes people come to us asking the big questions: what am I doing all this for? How are we supposed to live? What can we believe in? How can I act for justice and peace? We're always happy to chew the cud of life and faith. Many people, however, who come into the Chaplaincy just want to hang out, and that's great as well.

Wherever you are in your journey, we’d like to share it with you.
