The Cornerstone Gallery Exhibition: ‘Pre-paid 2011’

Exhibition: Thursday 17 November to Wednesday 7 December - 17:00
Auction: Wednesday 7 December - 6:30 onwards, doors open 17:00

After the success of 2009’s event, made possible by the generosity of all the artists and bidders who took part, the Cornerstone Gallery is again staging an exhibition and blind auction of small donated works by the good, the great and the generous of this talented city and beyond. e last auction raised over £2,000 for e Artists’ Benevolent Institution. e proceeds this year will be donated to e Artists’ Benevolent Institution and Global Hope.

A list of exhibiting artists is detailed below but the postcards are exhibited anonymously. The postcards will be exhibited until 5pm on Wednesday 7th December, a blind auction will then take place from 6:30pm onwards on the night of the 7th. Those who are unable to attend the auction are able to e-mail a silent bid on any postcards of their choice. Following the auction artist’s names will be matched to the postcards and posted on-line.

Postcards can be veiwed online until 4pm on Wednesday 7th December. On Wednesday 7th December, the Gallery opens with refreshments at 5.00pm and a blind auction, hosted by Paul O’Keeffe and starting, at 6.30pm will provide the opportunity for all to bid for those works they are interested in.

It will be a very exciting event, one not to be missed and a great opportunity to acquire a piece of work by a prominent artist or celebrity of our time.
