Excellence in Education, Innovation and Enterprise (CEEIE) Building

The development along Taggart Avenue will allow for the expansion of the new, restructured Education Faculty.  The new building and the redevelopment of parts of the existing Warrington and Derwent buildings will house the Education Faculty and allow a contiguous space for its five new academic research centres, its continual professional development and its enterprise desk.  It will also house the new outreach to business and the community via the University’s Enterprise and Continual Professional Development.

The new Centre for Excellence in Education, Innovation and Enterprise will create a new front to the existing Warrington Building facing Taggart Avenue integrating a new facility with the same architectural impact of the Gateway building on the opposite side of the road.  This should create a clear image to visitors entering Taggart Avenue that both sides of the campus are architecturally part of one, united campus and that it is the University’s front door.

The aim of the Centre for Excellence in Education, Innovation and Enterprise is to be a relaxed, welcoming, warm and well-lit environment to encourage students to sit, read and work; that is, to create fellowship and communion among students and not just to be utilitarian and functional.  Further information may be found on Bardsley construction’s website
