Professor Steve Taylor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, University of Liverpool
The world of the 21st century is not simply changing fast, the rate at which it is changing is increasing. Technical innovations driven by science increasingly shape our world. Yet Science itself is not static: scientific theories of yesterday have been revised and in some cases replaced completely.
Similarly things believed to be certain today will be revised tomorrow. Often the domains of Science and Faith are contrasted and sometimes said to be in conflict, but is that really the case? This Foundation Hour will examine the relationship between Science and Faith and their relevance to society.
