Former Hope Student Wins Bronze at European Athletics Championship

Former Hope student Jenny Meadows won a bronze medal in the final of the 800m in the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona on Friday (30th July).

Jenny, who graduated from Hope with a BA Hons Sport, Physical Education and Recreation with English, won a bronze medal at last year's World Championships in Berlin

Jenny said "I'm in good shape but the last few weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster for me with an injury that started with a niggle and seemed to get worse.

"I've worked so hard to get here and my support team have been amazing. All the hours stretching, having massages and physio and rehabbing in the pool have been worth it to get here though. The preparation camp in Monte Gordo did me the world of good and I really feel like I have left my troubles back at home."
