The libraries of Liverpool Hope University welcome donations of academic books from current and former members of staff and students. However, it is important to ensure that any material donated is:
• Relevant to the teaching and research interests of the institution
• In excellent condition
• Current e.g. the most recent edition of a textbook
If you wish to donate books to our libraries please contact the relevant Faculty Librarian.
Please note, that unfortunately we cannot accept your donation without prior discussion with the relevant Faculty Librarian.
Staff on the Library Help Point and Security Points will only accept donations that have been authorised in advance by a Faculty Librarian. Having received donated material, if it is later found that books are not suitable, or duplicate existing stock in our collections, the University reserves the right to dispose of donated books either for income generation (e.g. book sales or by recycling schemes).
Any income generated from re-sale of books will either be used to support the future activities of Liverpool Hope University Libraries or donated to the University’s charity – Global Hope.
