Getting to Hope by Road

Hope Park

From the M62:

At the end of the M62, take the left feeder lane by The Rocket public house onto the A5058 Queens Drive (signposted Ring Road, Widnes, Liverpool Airport). Travel to the Childwall Fiveways roundabout and take the third exit, straight on. Continue along Queens Drive to the second set of traffic lights and turn left onto Woolton Road (signposted Woolton). Travel to the next set of traffic lights and turn left into Hope Park.

From the M56:

Leave the motorway at Junction 12 (A557). Follow signs to Widnes, Runcorn and Liverpool Airport (A557) for about three miles. At the junction with the A533 branch left to go over Runcorn Bridge. Move into the right hand lane on the Bridge and follow signs for Liverpool (A562). Stay on the main road to Liverpool, which becomes the A561 (pass Jaguar Factory on the right hand side) until the second set of traffic lightsand turn right on to the A5275 Speke Hall Road which becomes Hillfoot Road (A562) then Menlove Avenue (A565), through three sets of traffic lights. At fourth set of traffic lights, turn right into Cromptons Lane, through another set of traffic lights on to Taggart Avenue into Hope Park.

From the Wirral & Liverpool city centre:

Travel through the Wallasey Mersey Tunnel (Kingsway) and at the exit there are options to go left or straight ahead. Proceed straight ahead leading to Scotland Road, Bryom Street. Keep in the left hand lane and pass the Liverpool John Moores University building on your left. At the traffic lights follow the road up to the left (signposted Warrington, Manchester and M62) on to Islington and move into right hand lane to the second set of traffic lights. Proceed straight ahead onto Brunswick Road and follow the road round to the right on to Low Hill. At the traffic lights carry straight on, B5340 Hall Lane, but move into the left hand lane. At the next lights, turn left onto A5047 Edge Lane, carry straight on for approximately 2.5 miles. After the junction with Rathbone Road, the road becomes the A5080 Edge Lane Drive, which leads to the major junction near the beginning of M62. Approaching this junction move into the right hand lane and follow the road round to the right on to A5058 Queens Drive. Keep on this road until the Childwall Fiveways roundabout, take the third exit, straight on. Continue along Queens Drive to the second set of traffic lights. Turn left on to Woolton Road (signposted Woolton), continue down this road until your reach the next main set of traffic lights and turn left into Hope Park. The Creative Campus 

From the M62:

At the end of the M62, select the exit route which is straight ahead (signposted A5080 city centre, Birkenhead and Wallasey Tunnels). Follow Edge Lane Drive on to Edge Lane, A5047, and continue on until you see a sign indicating left for (Universities, Royal Liverpool Hospital, Parking and Cathedral). Go left and then right onto the A5047 Irvine Street, which leads into Pembroke Place. Go right at the traffic lights into Anson Street and then right again on to London Road and move to the left hand lane. Turn left on to Moss Street. At the next lights go straight ahead onto Shaw Street. Hope at Everton is approximately 100 yards along on the left hand side.

From the M56:

Leave the motorway at Junction 15 and join the M53. Continue to Liverpool via the Wallasey Tunnel. Follow the directions given below.

Aigburth

From the M62:

At the end of the M62, take the left feeder lane by The Rocket public house on to the A5058 Queens Drive (signposted Ring Road, Widnes, Liverpool Airport). Continue along Queens Drive to the junction with Aigburth Vale, approximately 2.5 miles. Turn left on to Aigburth Vale and then right on to Victoria Road and then take the first road on the right A5058, the continuation of Victoria Road which leads on to Ashfield Road. At the second junction turn right (signposted Aigburth) on to A561 Aigburth Road. At second junction turn left at the sign for St Michael’s Railway Station on to St Michael’s Road. Aigburth Park Halls of Residence are at the end of the road on the left.

From the M56:

Leave the motorway at Junction 12, A557. Follow signs to Widnes, Runcorn and Liverpool Airport for about 3 miles. At the junction with the A533 branch left to go over Runcorn Bridge. At junction (signposted left for St Michael’s Station) turn left on to St Michael’s Road. Aigburth Park Halls of Residence are at the end of the road on the left.

From the Wirral & Liverpool city centre:

Travel through the Wallasey Mersey Tunnel (Kingsway) and at the exit there are options to go left or straight ahead. Proceed straight ahead leading to Scotland Road, Bryom Street. With the Liverpool John Moores University building on your left, move over to the right hand lane and turn right on to A5053 Leeds Street. This road bends round to the left and becomes King Edward Street, A5052, and then New Quay, A5036. Continue on through The Strand, Wapping and Chaloner Street. At the end of Chaloner Street take the lefthand fork on to Parliament Street and move into right hand lane. At the junction go right onto the A561 St James Place, which leads into Park Place and then Park Road. Keep following A561 (signposted Widnes, Speke, Liverpool Airport, Garston, Aigburth) on to Aigburth Road. Pass a petrol station on the left and then a pedestrian crossing move into the right hand lane. At the next set of lights, turn right into Chetwynd Street, first left into Bryanston Road then right into St Michael’s Road. Aigburth Park Halls of Residence are at the end of the road on the left.
