Information for new students

What should I do on the first day?

Information for students starting September 2016 

All students should go to Hope Park on their first day of study, Monday 26 September. Please note that this is for all students, even those who are studying primarily at the Creative Campus. This is Monday 26 September for all Undergraduate students.

All Undergraduate students will attend a Commencement Celebration on Monday morning at either 9:30am or 11am, and Welcome by the Faculty Dean in the afternoon at either 1:30pm or 3pm. If you are on a combined honours programme you may attend more than one of each of these.

Freshers Fayre and department meetings are held on Tuesday 27 September and your Academic time-table for induction week commences Wed 28 September. All students will attend 2 lectures and 4 tutorials in induction week. Your allocated task set before arrival will be followed up in one of these tutorial sessions. 

Please note that all sessions will appear on your individual student timetable.

After you have registered you will be able to find your individual timetable on the MyHope system by clicking here.  

Please ensure you bring you ID Card with you to these sessions so we can confirm your attendance. If you have not yet got your ID card you will be able to collect it from the Gateway Service Desk when you get to Hope Park.

A date for when the Masters students should attend the Postgraduate Taught Induction Evening are to be confirmed and a copy of the programme will be available shortly. 

All PGCE students need to be at Hope Park for 9.00am on the first Monday/Tuesday of their course.

Note: This is a full-time course and all PGCE students should expect to be in every day Monday-Friday.

PGDE students should arrive at Hope Park on Tuesday 6 September. 

All New PGT students should arrive at Hope Park on Monday 3 October. 

 

Social Activities

During welcome/induction week there are also a wide range of social activities for all students. You will find details of these on the Welcome Week Planner which will be available shortly. More information on students events can be found on the Hope Social Official Facebook page.

Shuttle Bus

There is a shuttle bus that runs between the Creative Campus, Hope Park and Aigburth campuses for staff and students (please note that all passengers must display their ID card before boarding).

Timetable for the 2016-17 Shuttle bus will follow shortly. 

Additional buses will be available to transport students from the Creative Campus on Monday and Tuesday 26-27 September. Times are to be confirmed.
