The International Hub

The International Hub team, situated at the heart of the Hope Park Campus, is dedicated to ensuring that both UK and international students can fulfil their dreams of overseas study. International students usually need a helping hand after arriving in the UK and we are here to help. From choosing your course and booking accommodation, to arriving and making new friends, we can offer all the support you need!

Who do we help?

International students who have received any type of course offer can access help, advice and support from the International Hub – it is our job to make sure that international students have a positive experience, from arrival through to graduation.

All students can get help and advice from our friendly advisors about the many opportunities for overseas study- a great way to develop confidence and gain a new insight into the wider world and the good news is, that most of these opportunities will count as credits towards the student’s degree.

All students who are interested in volunteering in the summer with one of the Global Hope Projects (see below) – an exciting and often life-changing experience in a completely new culture, helping others in developing parts of the world.

What do we do?

As well as assisting international students with their application, preparation and travel arrangements, we offer personal support during the arrival and registration processes and on-going help and advice with issues such as leaning support, finances, illness, emotional issues and travel.

The International Hub manages the Study Abroad and Exchange Programmes, including applications and course choices, as well as developing and maintaining partnerships with overseas Partner Universities.

We also promote overseas study to our students, through the Exchange Programme, processing applications and supporting students in making appropriate choices about where and what to study. We guide students through the planning stages, advising on what to take and how to travel, plus we keep in contact with students while they are abroad. For further information click HERE

We manage a fantastic international volunteering programme, called Global Hope, giving students and staff an opportunity to act as global citizens by engaging with issues of social justice and participating in projects in countries as diverse as India, Sri Lanka, Uganda and Brazil. Applicants are carefully chosen to participate in these unique and fascinating projects - for further information click HERE

International Recruitment is the first point of contact for new applicants looking for advice about undergraduate and postgraduate study.  They also offer a range of International Scholarships and are the people to contact if you are from an overseas recruitment agency - to contact them click HERE.

Supporting International Students

The International Hub offers support and advice to international students before they arrive in the UK and continues to support you throughout their course.

The Hub also offers a range of cultural opportunities, such as organising trips to historical cities, castles, villages and areas of outstanding natural beauty – great ways to visit other places in the UK in the company of other Liverpool Hope students and much less scary than doing it on your own!

We also help international students to celebrate their own culture by holding a number of events throughout the year, such as Diwali, American Thanksgiving, Chinese New Year and a fantastic International Culture Carnival – see the photos in our Gallery.
