We are seeking to appoint a temporary, part-time Administrative Assistant to support an International Networking Project funded by the AHRC. The main purpose of the role is to provide a high-level of administrative support to the Principal Investigator and colleagues within the project’s partner institutions.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, and will be required to have excellent organisational skills, and should demonstrate a strong commitment to the values associated with the project. Facility with social media platforms and with web-based research would be a strong advantage. She/he should have experience of working successfully within a team as well as being able to work independently. Strong Communication and IT Skills are essential, along with excellent attention to detail.
The role holder will be required to work flexibly and to have the ability to prioritise and organise their own workload. Demonstrable ability to minute meetings is highly desirable. Strong customer-service skills are essential.
This is a part-time position for 14 hours per week with the working schedule to be agreed with the Principal Investigator.
The role will be based at Hope Park Campus, but from time to time meetings may be scheduled for other venues such as Bluecoat and FACT.
Please note the closing date for applications is 12 noon on 16 February 2018. In the first instance, the post is for 70 weeks, with the potential for the post to be extended by another four to eight weeks should funding allow. The start date will be agreed between the Principal Investigator and the successful candidate.
