Show Background

Following a career in Financial Services I moved to Liverpool Hope University Business School in 1999, teaching mainly Human Resource Management and Development. I joined the Centre for Learning and Teaching in 2007 as Principal Lecturer.

I am the Award Director for the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (PGCLTHE) a qualification required of all new university teachers and specifically designed for the university sector. I also direct the Masters in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (MALTHE). For additional information see Postgraduate Programmes.

I develop a number of staff development events across the university on a regular basis which cover a range of learning and teaching issues. Bespoke events can be specifically designed where requested.

I also lead the ‘Eteam’ within the Centre for Learning & Teaching. This small team work with academic staff on the pedagogical design of their online and technology enhanced learning and teaching practice.
