Learning and Teaching Week Presentations - 200930th March to 2nd April
Welcome to Learning and Teaching week 2009! This is a well established key point in the university calendar where colleagues
can pause and reflect on matters learning and teaching. As such it is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills, be enthused
and inspired and to take time to reflect with colleagues within your Deanery.
Learning and Teaching week this year has been organised so that you can spend time with different groups throughout the week.
The week has been designed as follows:
Monday 30th March 2009 – Skills Development Day.
This provides an opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of areas. This day is open to all staff.
Tuesday 31st March – Deanery Day. This day provides an opportunity for the whole Deanery to spend time together
and consider deanery specific learning and teaching issues
Wednesday 1st April – Generic Day. A day open to staff across the university and filled with a wide range of presentations
and workshops focussing on common learning and teaching themes.
Thursday 2nd April – Subject days. This is a day set aside for your subject area to reflect upon the week’s activities and
consider what it means for your future practice.
Note: Some of the sessions shown here will be capped and you should therefore book a place if you would like to attend.
The affected sessions have a Book it! sign where this is necessary. In order to book a place email Jean Johnson in the Centre for Learning
