Hope Chapel

Cloud of Witnesses

The chapel is at the heart of the University. It is always open, and easy to find. It is your space, so come and use it. It is a great place to come for a moment of quiet prayer or come and join others in our daily community prayers. Both the Catholic and Anglican sacraments are reserved in the tabernacle at the heart of this soaring, simple place for the spirit.

Chaplaincy

Hope Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy is on Hope Park at the back of the EDEN building. Everybody is welcome at the Chaplaincy, so please do come in and make yourselves at home and enjoy a Fairtrade hot drink. You can use this space for work, playing the piano or engaging in some stimulating discussion.

Trinity Chapel

Trinity Room

Trinity Chapel is found on the first floor of the Hilda Constance Allen Building. It is a quiet, serene space, which contains a striking portrayal (by the artist Ghislaine Howard) of Mary's visit to Elizabeth, an image of friendship and tenderness. It now houses the University Senate room. Trinity Chapel is open for prayer throughout the day when the Senate Room is not in use.

Multi-Faith Room

In 2010 a Prayer Room with ablution facilities, suitable for Muslim prayers, was opened at Hope Park for the use of staff and students, located between the Theology, Philosophy and Religious Studies Department and the laundry. The room is open to all who wish to use it, but requires a code to open the door, so you can worship privately. Code is available from Chaplains or at the Gateway Desk.
