Assessment for dyslexia

If you are a student at Liverpool Hope and would like to be assessed for dyslexia, please contact Student Development and Wellbeing.

We recommend that you speak to one of our Learning Support Advisers initially. They can give you information about the assessment process, discuss any concerns you may have and advise you about what support could be available if you are dyslexic.

Dyslexia assessments are carried out by an Educational Psychologist. If you wish, we can arrange an appointment for you at Hope Park or at the Network of Hope colleges. Please note that you will be asked to contribute £50 towards the cost of the dyslexia assessment before you can be offered an appointment.

The psychologist will tell you the outcome of the assessment on the day and write a report which includes recommendations for support. When you receive a copy of your report, please contact Student Development and Wellbeing again and arrange to see a Learning Support Adviser. This is important, as we can give guidance about how to obtain the recommended support.
