Do you already possess GCSEs (Grade C and above) in English, Maths, Science and a range of other subjects? Are you already in a job but want to make a difference to people’s lives? Liverpool Hope University runs a part-time PGCE (Primary) Distance Learning course, which offers you the opportunity to become a primary teacher to work with young people and to help shape their futures. It is the equivalent of 38 weeks, spread over almost two years, commencing in May. The main difference between it and the full-time courses is in the method of delivery, as its emphasis is on blended learning, reliant on independent study and tasks through the Virtual Learning Environment. There will also be compulsory day attendance at Hope Park, and twilight sessions at either Blackburn or Bury. The course is funded by the TDA.
