Dr Anthony Ridge-Newman, Lecturer in Digital Media, and an active member of Hope's European Institute and Political Studies Research Group, launched his new co-edited book at a special event held at Kings College London.

Reporting the Road to Brexit: International Media and the EU Referendum 2016 published by Palgrave Macmillan, has 20 chapters that analyse the media coverage of the EU Referendum and Brexit across 18 global locales.

The launch event was in partnership with and funded by The UK in a Changing Europe - the leading scholarly research body that provides independent and authoritative research on UK-EU relations.

James Rothwell, Brexit Correspondent at The Telegraph, chaired the panel of speakers, including Dr Ridge-Newman, lead editor of the project; Dr Fernando Leon-Solis, University of Western Scotland; Dr Marina Dekavalla, University of Sussex; and Dr Rinella Cere, Sheffield Hallam University.

The book launch and knowledge exchange event was attended by over 33 guests from diverse sectors, including international media, EU bodies, think tanks and public policy, academia and business.

The panel was followed by a networking reception aimed at developing pathways to impact based on the book's research. Dr Ridge-Newman has since been invited to write a piece about the book's findings for The UK in a Changing Europe.
