Creations by Professional Tutor in Fine and Applied Art Tony Smith have gone on display at Ouachita Baptist University,  Arkansas, US.

The Department of Visual Arts is hosting Tony’s exhibit, which explores the same artistic themes represented in abstract art.

His most recent work focuses on spatial construction, which plays off the differences in colour and strokes.

Several Ouachita students have studied at Liverpool Hope University, and it is hoped the guest exhibit will help the two universities to strengthen their relationship.

Chair of the Department of Visual Arts Donnie Copeland said: “I am glad to be making a connection between our two programmes. I was able to visit last spring and show a few of my paintings in the Cornerstone Gallery at the Creative Campus. While there, I met Tony and took a tour of Liverpool with him that included a visit to his studio.”

The exhibit will be on display until Wednesday 29th March in Ouachita Baptist University’s Rosemary Gossett Adams Gallery.
