The annual Political Studies Association Conservatives & Conservatism book prize has been awarded to Senior Lecturer in Modern History Dr Stephen Kelly.
Beating five other nominees to the first place award, Dr Kelly was presented with £100 for his paper “The Totality of Relationships”: The Haughey-Thatcher Relationship and the Anglo-Irish Summit Meeting, 8 December 1980 (2016).
The Political Studies Association aims to encourage the creation and dissemination of high-quality research on all aspects of conservatives and conservatism.
Dr Kelly’s work was consistently ranked top by the four judges, who gave positive comments about his paper.
