The Cornerstone Festival returns for 2018, with a diverse selection of performances and workshops.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, this year’s programme aims to contribute to the conversation and support emerging artists through a series of early evening events.

The 17th edition of the annual festival will run from Saturday 3rd to Saturday 10th March at the Creative Campus.

Evening performances explore topical themes such as Brexit, immigration, race and gender equality, through performances that often imaginatively combine different disciplines, including film, music, theatre, contemporary dance and the visual arts in unusual and innovative ways.

Chair of the Festival Committee Simon Piasecki said: “Liverpool is a culturally unique city, with a history built upon welcoming the traveller, the newcomer and the migrant. In this spirit, with our wonderful students, we welcome the public and our artists to our garden of Liverpool, thanking too our sponsors for helping us to realise another inspirational festival.”
