Dr Joseph Maslen, Lecturer in Education Studies, has travelled to Leeds for the inaugural meeting of the BERA (British Education Research Association) Special Interest Group on the History of Teachers and Teacher Education.
This select gathering led by Professor Gary McCulloch, UCL Institute of Education, discussed potential for collaborative research projects and funding applications, as well as sharing information about major funded projects currently underway led by the Group's members.
The next step is a meeting organised by leading academics at the universities of Roehampton and Sheffield, to which Dr Maslen and other members of Hope's History of Education team have been invited. This initiative promises to be a key networking and researching opportunity for the team in the months and years ahead.
