The University will gather today (Wednesday 23rd January) for a special Foundation Day service, where friends of Hope from across the globe will come together to celebrate Liverpool Hope's 175th anniversary.

Several partner institutions will join Hope in a special ceremony of celebration, by simultaneously lighting candles and streaming a live video link.

Alverno College in Wisconsin, US; Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas, US; Lock Haven University, Pennsylvania, US; and St Peter and Paul School, Uganda, will join the candle lighting, which symbolises the uniting of Hope’s global community.

The Foundation Day service marks the first official event celebrating Liverpool Hope’s 175th anniversary year. Throughout 2019, the University will be hosting a number of events in honour of the occasion.

Celebrations will continue tomorrow (Thursday 24th January), as the University comes together for Winter Graduation.

Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King will host the ceremony, which will see PhD, Masters, and Undergraduate students collect their degrees.
