The artistic talents of Hope Masters student Bridget Waters are showcased in a new exhibit in the heart of Liverpool.

‘Oscillation’, which explores the expanding theory and visual knowledge of the largest and most intricate human organ: the brain, is currently on display at Baltic Creative CIC.

Talking about the concept behind her work, Bridget said: “The show is appropriately titled ‘Oscillation’, for the research methodology undertaken has been a constant evolving adventure, weaving design with science and seasoned with elements of business. Skills gained on my Erasmus placement at a successful fashion house in Milan aided my creativity, and housed my ability to combine function with aesthetic across the disciplines of fine art, computer-aided design, ceramic prints, and textiles.”

Bridget completed her BA Design degree at Hope, before spending five years living overseas in China and Singapore, and later returning to Hope as a mature student.

She said: “It was important to rekindle this unique learning experience and return to this flourishing institute for its friendly feeling, familiar environment, to develop a lifelong passion for challenging my intellectual creative energy towards a higher level.”

‘Oscillation’ runs from Sunday 8th – Sunday 22nd October at Baltic Creative CIC.
