The Capstone Theatre spring season launches with a free concert by one of the world’s most innovative musicians, Joanna MacGregor.

Appearing as a concert pianist, curator and collaborator, the Head of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music will perform at the Capstone on Friday 13th January at 7.30pm.

Mandala Theatre presents Night Light on Wednesday 25th, written by Nadia Davids and directed by Yasmin Sidhwa. Night Light follows two teenage asylum seekers as they hide out in an abandoned factory fearing deportation. Joined by a stranger, the wary pair share food and stories about home, belonging and the system, imagining their future as the night unfolds.

The David Helbock Trio – described by The Jazzmann as ‘one of Europe’s most adventurous piano trios’ - will perform their debut album Into the Mystic on Saturday 25th February, supported by The Viktor Nordberg Trio.

Other highlights include Marconi Union who have achieved widespread recognition and international critical acclaim through albums including Distance (2005), Beautifully Falling Apart (2011) and Weightless (2014). The group will perform on Friday 3rd March at 7.30pm.
