Former Playwriting Prize winner and current student Jonathan Cheriyan is to debut his award-winning musical at the Capstone Theatre.

The MA Creative Practice student won the under-21 award at the inaugural Liverpool Hope Playwriting Prize in April 2015, with his musical comedy Happy Ever After?

Judges highly commended Jonathan for the production, which imagines what happens to Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, the Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming once the story book is closed.

The play’s synopsis states: “Five years after their supposed Happily Ever After, the lives of your favourite fairy tale characters take a dramatic twist when a wicked witch plans to take over the magical land of Fantasia.”

The musical will debut at the Capstone Theatre on Sunday 26th November at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £5 for adults and £3 for students/concessions. Book tickets here.
