Young people from across the globe will travel to Liverpool Hope to hear from a host of inspirational guest speakers at The Big Hope 2.

Students from the Philippines, India, USA, New Zealand, China, South Africa, Bhutan and the UK are set to attend the week-long youth congress.

The Big Hope 2 will provide the opportunity for young people from diverse backgrounds to come together to explore and debate key issues affecting individuals and societies around the world, such as freedom, conflict, equality and change.

Leading global influencers who are at the forefront of national and international challenges will share insights in keynote speeches, and discussion forums.

Among the speakers already confirmed are Executive Chairman of the Premier League Richard Scudamore, Explorer Colonel John Blashford-Snell, Winner of the 2013 TED Prize Professor Sugata Mitra, and South African Anglican priest and social justice activist Father Michael Lapsley.

Staff and students at Liverpool Hope are currently raising money to bring 12 young people from Palestine’s West Bank to Liverpool for conference.

Earlier this year, Hope students visited Palestine and stayed with young people and their families to get an insight into the challenges faced by young people living there.

The crowdfunding page is now live and students and staff will host a special ‘Run for Hope’ event in April 2018.
