Album launch to feature unique dance and music collaborationMonday 15 May 2017
A unique collaboration between Creative Campus Venue Manager Neil Campbell and Senior Lecturer in Dance Dr Rachel Sweeney will mark the launch of a new album.
Estuary – a 50-minute album combining spoken poetry, fluid classical guitar textures, atmospheric soundscapes, and beguiling vocals – is the latest offering from Seán Street, Neil Campbell and Perri Alleyne-Hughes.
As part of Writing on the Wall 2017, the album will launch at a special event held at the Capstone Theatre on Thursday 18th May at 7.30pm.
The evening will feature the presentation of an immersive quadrophonic mix of the new album specially created for the event by Marty Snape, along with projected visuals by artist Peter Dover and live contemporary dance by choreographer Rachel Sweeney.
It will be preceded by a live performance of an enchanting selection of poems, music and songs from 'Jazz Time', based on a previous WoW collaboration between Seán, Neil and Perri.
Estuary (CD) will be available for purchase on the evening of the performance.
Tickets for the event cost £9.50 (£6.50 concessions) and can be purchased from the Box Office: https://www.ticketquarter.co.uk/Online/estuary. Tel: 0844 8000 410.
