Business Gateway Manager Carol Buckman nominated for Business AwardFriday 29 January 2016
Congratulations to Business Gateway Manager Carol Buckman, who has been nominated for the Female Enabler Award at this year’s Liverpool City Region Women in Business Awards.
The Awards, run by Downtown in Business and in association with the Women’s Organisation, is now in its fourth year and will be held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday 4th March 2016. Celebrating and promoting women in business, the event is a chance to highlight “the talented business women and female-led companies that are continuing to thrive, and offer encouragement to other budding female entrepreneurs”.
Speaking about her nomination, Carol said “I was delighted on opening a letter recently to see I had been nominated for the Liverpool City Region Women In Business Awards 2016 for the Female Business Enabler Award. This was such a great surprise, as I have been involved in so many projects over the years working closely with the business community, but never considered winning awards. I have always tried to use my knowledge, experience and contacts, with their permission of course, to make a difference.”
Hope’s Business Gateway is passionate about developing lifelong partnerships with local and national businesses, offering the highest quality standards and providing a source of inspiration to all.
Speaking about her role as Business Gateway Manager, she explained “Networking is always about a two way relationship and the number of business people who have given up their time coming to help at the university in so many ways makes sure that I want to offer my support to them and others too.
“I feel truly honoured to have been nominated and a big thank you to the person, or people who put me forward.”
