David Fleming discusses life changing museums in his inaugural Professorial lectureFriday 11 March 2016
National Museums Liverpool Director David Fleming gave his inaugural lecture on Wednesday evening, discussing how museums can change lives.
Professor Fleming said of his lecture topic: “Museums are an essential part of any modern civilisation. They can have huge educational, social and economic impacts. As we see a raft of museum closures across the UK, these roles are at risk of being diminished. So how do museums change lives, and what do we need to do to ensure that they remain a key part of our nation’s makeup?”.
Liverpool Hope’s MA Museum and Heritage Studies is designed and delivered in conjunction with National Museums Liverpool.
