Film and TV production company launched by Hope graduatesMonday 18 April 2016
Page 28 Studios is the brainchild of Film and TV Production graduates Colt Candeias, Abby Wooley and Shaun Daley, who plan to make their mark on Liverpool’s creative sector.
The trio recently celebrated the film and TV production company’s launch with the premiere of Inheritance - its first film production.
Inheritance tells the story of Jack, an elderly gangster set on retirement due to make his final payment to his lifelong boss Frank. As Frank's paranoia consumes him, Jack’s chances of being set free remain slim. With this knowledge, Jack devises a plan with his estranged daughter Emily that offers him the opportunity to seek redemption from a life of mistakes and regrets.
Page 28 Studios are currently working on a film covering the Young DaDa Festival in Liverpool, which organises creative projects and training in the visual arts, performance, creative writing and film-making.
Abby, who worked as a Creative Industries graduate intern, is determined to see Page 28 Studios make a big impact in Liverpool’s creative sector. She said: “We're really excited to work with Young DaDaFest, it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talent of these young people, as well as filming in two of the most creative iconic venues in Liverpool.
“We can't wait to get stuck in behind the scenes and to produce a special keepsake for everyone to remember their performance.”
YoungDaDa Festival works with young disabled and deaf people through creativity, and musical participants will perform their work at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Wednesday 6th July. There will also be a performance by Young DaDaFest dramatists at the Everyman Theatre on Thursday 14th July.
