Funding success for Archbishop Desmond Tutu Centre for War and Peace Studies
Friday 28 September 2012
The Arts and Humanities Research Council have awarded just under £10,000 to Dr Stefanie Kappler and Dr Bryce Evans, lecturers in the Department of Politics, History, Media and Communication at Hope.
Drs Evans and Kappler will use the money, which totals £9,850, to facilitate the write-up of a European funding proposal which aims to develop networks between researchers and practicioners investigating the ways in which peace and conflict have been represented through media across different communities.
The money will be used to enable dialogue with prospective project partners based in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and South Africa. It is envisaged that the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Centre for War & Peace Studies will form the base for the project."
