Graduate entrepreneurs embrace innovation at Accelerate 2015Thursday 22 October 2015
Accelerate 2015 was an exciting time for four budding graduate entrepreneurs and a Human Resource Management (HRM) Masters student from Liverpool Hope University.
The business conference featured a host of inspirational speakers, including philanthropist and author Katie Piper.
Designed to inspire businesses, promote networking and encourage innovation, Accelerate is now in its third year.
HRM Masters student Andrew Slaine described the event as motivational and a great experience.
He said: “From an HR perspective, it was clear that compassion and resilience within organisations were at the heart of many of the speeches. This demonstrated to me the importance and need for explicit HR strategies to be implemented at all levels of an organisation.
“Overall, it was a great experience and provided me with a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and what it takes to become successful in business.”
Theology and Religious Studies graduate Jodie Leigh Weathers added: “I got to meet so many amazing people and it really inspired me to step outside my comfort zone and pursue my passion.
“The networking opportunity was also fantastic and I'm already looking forward to next year’s event!"
