Head of Education Studies speaks to BBC Radio MerseysideMonday 9 January 2017
Dr Phil Bamber, Head of the Department of Education Studies, featured on BBC Radio Merseyside’s Roger Phillips show discussing ‘British values’ in schools and the public services.
The focus of the interview was to discuss the government’s response to an independent review by Dame Louise Casey into opportunity and integration. The proposals include public servants taking an 'oath' to abide by British values.
In the interview, Dr Bamber drew upon his recent research in schools in the North West of England, which he presented at the Association of Moral Education conference at Harvard University in December 2016.
