Hope and Tate Liverpool celebrate partnership

Tate partnership dinner Friday 26 February 2016

Representatives from Tate Liverpool, FACT, Liverpool Biennial, the Bluecoat, the Royal Court, the Epstein Theatre and Liverpool Arts Council, joined Fine Art staff and students for an evening of celebration.

Held at the Creative Campus, the Tate/Hope Partnership Dinner saw Vice-Chancellor Professor Pillay and Artistic Director of Tate Liverpool Francesco Manacorda sign a renewed Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

Professor Simon Piasecki, Head of the Department of Dance, Drama and Performance Studies, welcomed guests to the event and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Professor Nicholas Rees talked about the partnership between Hope and Tate Liverpool.

Drama student Jonathan Cheriyan, who was highly commended in last year’s Playwriting Prize competition, also performed a medley from his musical Prodigal, while Fine Art student Attila Olah and graduate Ant Hamlyn shared insights into their creative specialisms.
