Hope welcomes international higher education delegates from EAIETuesday 13 September 2016
Higher Education professionals from across the world gathered at Liverpool Hope University as part of the European Association for International Education’s (EAIE) 28th Annual Conference and Exhibition.
The four-day event is expected to attract more than 5,000 delegates, providing a forum for professional development, information dissemination and networking.
Following a welcome from Professor Gerald Pillay, Vice Chancellor and Rector, Associate Dean Wendy Bignold discussed Internationalisation at Liverpool Hope University.
Dr Bignold said: “We are delighted to welcome delegates to Liverpool and our beautiful campus at Liverpool Hope. We’re a truly international community with students from over 80 different countries and staff from more than 35.”
Delegates were given tours of both the Hope Park and Creative Campus, and invited to an interactive session on partnership opportunities with the University.
EAIE is a non-profit, member-led organisation for those actively involved in internationalisation at higher education institutions.
The conference is the first major international education event in the UK since the Brexit vote, and is expected to spark some lively discussions.
