Industry insight for Media and Communication studentsThursday 17 March 2016
Spending time at one of Liverpool’s biggest advertising agencies gave Media and Communication students an insight into future careers.
Lecturer in Media Sue Cronshaw took several final year students to a behind the scenes workshop at Agent Marketing.
The group heard about department structures and functions and the role of strategic planning for brand development.
They were also taught about self-promotion by Head of Agent Academy Zoe Wallace, who explained what agencies look for when hiring.
Student Abigail Shaw said: “The visit gave me an insight into opportunities for postgraduates after university. After leaving the session, I felt a drive of wanting to perfect my CV and improve my communication skills with other employers.”
Mrs Cronshaw added: “The students were given a great insight into how the industry works and came away focused on their own future career aspirations.”
