Launch of the Cornerstone Arts Festival 2014Monday 6 October 2014
Liverpool Hope’s Cornerstone Arts Festival for 2014 was launched by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Gerald Pillay, on Friday, 3 October. This year’s Festival is led by Dr Alberto Sanna, Artistic Director, who is supported by Paola Nieddu and Hannah Payne.
The Spanish themed launch event provided a timely taster of things to come with introductions by Professor Simon Piasecki, Department of Drama, Dance and Performance, and Ms Lin Holland, Department of Fine and Applied Arts.
The audience were also treated to an outstanding musical performance of the Spanish guitar by Eleanor Kelly, a second year music student at Hope.
The Festival features exciting musical performances by international artists, plays, dance and an array of talks, including in the areas of art and design. The Festival runs from Friday, 21 November until Sunday, 29 November.
