Liverpool Hope hosts Irish Literature Lecture Series

James Joyce Friday 12 October 2012

‎‎Liverpool Hope is hosting an Irish Literature Lecture Series from Sunday 14th October to Thursday 13th December.

The Irish Literature Lecture Series explores the fascinating and dynamic relationship between literature, history, politics and culture in Irish writing throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

The University is delighted to welcome a panel of internationally renowned academics to contribute to the series. The series consists of ten lectures, each addressing a different element of the canon.

The first two lectures coincide with Liverpool's annual Irish Literature Festival and will be held at the Bluecoat Theatre, while the rest of the series will take place at the University's Hope Park campus.

All of the lectures are free to attend and we welcome you all to what promises to be an insightful and entertaining exploration of Irish Literature.

The first event on Sunday 14th October is James Joyce and the Golden Age of English Murder. Full details of this event can be found in our events calendar.

The Irish Literature Lecture Series Programme will give you full details of the other talks in the series.
