Liverpool Hope University has been selected as a pioneering partner in the UnLtd and HEFCE HE Support Initiative, which aims to increase entrepreneurship in Higher Education institutions.
The University will work closely with UnLtd to develop an enterprise support structure and deliver the opportunity for staff and students to set up a social venture.
Carol Buckman, Hope Business Gateway Manager, says: “At Liverpool Hope, we feel strongly that our students should have the best possible opportunities to explore their entrepreneurial talent, especially given the increasing prominence of social and ethical entrepreneurship across many sectors.
“Being selected as a partner in this important initiative is an excellent step toward helping our staff and students create social and economic change.”
Liverpool Hope is one of 54 selected Higher Education Institutions in England taking part in the initiative, which will run for 12 months.
