Liverpool Hope University is celebrating after achieving the biggest rise in the North West and the second-highest rise nationally in the 2018 Complete University Guide.

The University has climbed 25 places, making it 58th in the UK (out of 129) and 4th in the North West (out of 12).

This rise places Liverpool Hope above Manchester Metropolitan, Edge Hill, Liverpool John Moores, Chester, Central Lancashire, Salford, Cumbria and Bolton.

Liverpool Hope is also top 2 in the UK for Student Satisfaction, and top 3 in the North West for its Graduate Prospects outcome according to this year’s tables, which are published at midnight on 26th April 2017.

The Complete University Guide rankings are based on ten measures: Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Entry Standards, Student: Staff Ratio; Spending on Academic Services; Spending on Student Facilities; Good Honours Degrees; Graduate Prospects and Completion. It includes 129 institutions across the UK.

Liverpool Hope has committed to offering small group teaching, which allows tutors to get to know their students well, and gives students access to the latest thinking and research in their chosen subject.

Professor Gerald J Pillay, Vice Chancellor and Rector of Liverpool Hope University said: “Our students and excellent scholarship are at the heart of everything we do, and these results are most encouraging.  We place a strong focus on personal development and education 'in the round', and believe that these go hand in hand with academic success. This is good news for us and for the city.”
