Music student showcases self-penned songs on TVThursday 26 March 2015
Music student Sarah Clifford appeared on Bay TV’s Arts Alive: Acoustic show this week, where she performed her self-penned songs Sweep Up, Sweet Girl and Waiting For You.
The inspiration for Sarah’s songs ranges from relationships and people she knows to her experience of waiting to take A level exams.
Sarah has always loved to sing, and whilst she holds a Grade 8 Singing in Musical Theatre, her interests range from classical right the way through to rock and indie.
Sarah, who is from Liverpool and who is studying for a BA in Music and Special Educational Needs, said: “It was a very different experience for me as I have never performed in a studio setting, especially when being recorded and filmed, but the crew made me feel very comfortable. Everyone in the studio was so lovely and welcoming, I could talk to them for hours about music, creativity, fashion and media. I love writing my own songs, and most of them are about chapters and people in my life.”
