New Learning Lab unveiled in special ceremonyMonday 12 October 2015
Professor Pierre Giorgini, Président-Recteur Université Catholique de Lille, officially unveiled Liverpool Hope University’s new Learning Lab in a special ceremony.
Inspired by the innovative and co-creative approaches seen at Lille, the new facilities reflect the French University’s teaching labs, which are equipped with modern technologies to enable staff and students to brainstorm ideas.
The visit by Lille colleagues, builds on the strategic alliance agreed between Liverpool Hope and Les Facultes de l'Universite Catholique de Lille in 2014.
The new phase of collaboration is designed to forge links, including the creation of a ‘pan-European institute' and joint academic initiatives between the institutions.
Prior to the ceremony, Professor Giorgini gave an open lecture outlining the Innovative and Learning Ecosystems at the French university.
He discussed how the institution has made strides to encourage creativity and innovation through the collaboration of collective groups, and its hopes for the future.
